Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute (IFTI) recently appointed Tennessee Senate Majority Leader Mark Norris to its executive board. Senator Norris serves as SLC Chair and most-recent past Chair of the SLC Economic Development, Transportation and Cultural Affairs Committee. Also a topic in the recent SLC Special Series Report, The Expansion of the Panama Canal and SLC State Ports, Senator Norris emphasized the importance of intermodal transportation in the Southern region.
