
The West Virginia Host Committee will provide transportation to and from Yeager Airport, as well as as all SLC annual meeting events and tours. Several restaurants and entertainment venues are available within walking distance of the conference hotels in downtown Charleston.
Buses for committee Technical Tours and other offsite SLC annual meeting events will depart from the Lee Street East Entrance of the Charleston Marriott Town Center.
If you are traveling to Charleston by air and would like to take advantage of the airport shuttle service, please register for the ride at the Host State website. Once you arrive in Charleston, please look for the "SLC in Charleston" transportation desk in the baggage claims area. Please bring appropriate child safety seats for all children under the age of six.
Yeager Airport (CRW) is serviced by nonstop flights to Atlanta, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Myrtle Beach and Orlando in the SLC member states alone, making travel to Charleston convenient and hassle-free. Parking within walking distance of the terminal and security lines with short waiting times makes Yeager Airport one of the most passenger-friendly airports in the nation. A short drive from downtown Charleston and just a few minutes from the intersection of three major interstates, Yeager Airport is easily accessible from whichever direction. Airlines serving the airport include AirTran, American, Delta Airlines, Continental Airlines, Spirit, United Airlines and US Airways.

While most roads in West Virginia are beautiful and fun to drive, the State sports 23 byways and backways that offer a unique and picturesque glimpse into the Mountain State's history and natural beauty. From the backways to state byways to the All-American Historic National Road, these roadways are a slower-paced alternative to frantic Interstate traffic. Effective July 1, 2012, texting while driving is designated as a primary offense in West Virginia, while the use of a cell phone and driving is designated as a secondary offense.
